The opening plenary included the adoption of the agenda and a substantive discussion on “Interdependence and development strategies in a globalized world,” drawing on the Trade and Development Report 2025 and its overview. Presentations were delivered by Ms. Anastasia Nesvetailova, Head of the Macro-Economic and Development Policies Branch, followed by statements from regional groups and member States.

The dialogue examined the role of physical, digital and regulatory connectivity in sustaining growth, ensuring access to essential goods and services, and maintaining capital flows during periods of disruption, highlighting the importance of coordinated international frameworks to strengthen economic resilience.
