Rebeca Grynspan at the 10th Knowledge Summit in Dubai
19 November 2025 — Rebeca Grynspan, Secretary-General of UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD), delivered opening remarks at the 10th edition of the Knowledge Summit in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Held under the theme “Knowledge Markets: Developing Sustainable Communities,” the 2025 Summit marked a decade of the UAE’s leadership in promoting knowledge-driven development, innovation, and global partnerships. In her address, Ms. Grynspan highlighted the power of knowledge to shape a fairer, more sustainable future, emphasizing that “knowledge multiplies when shared rather than depleting.” She commended the UAE and the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation for their enduring partnership with the United Nations and their role in advancing human development, innovation, and learning worldwide.
