UN Trade and Development Deputy Secretary-General Pedro Manuel Moreno participates in the International Economic Forum for Latin America and the Caribbean 2026, organized by CAF – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, in partnership with the Government of Panama. The Forum convenes business leaders, policymakers and influential voices to reflect on the region’s most urgent challenges and to build dialogue-based solutions that foster growth, inclusion and competitiveness. The DSG spoke at the session 'Rethinking Trade in a Fragmented World: Strategic Implications and Choices for Latin America and the Caribbean', where discussions focused on trade dynamics in a fragmented global economy and the opportunities for the region to strengthen resilience and development through cooperation and strategic integration.
