UNCTAD Dialogue on COP30 Outcomes and Climate Action

UN Trade and Development convenes a high-level dialogue at the Palais des Nations in Geneva to assess key outcomes of COP30 and chart priorities ahead of COP31 (2026). Pedro Manuel Moreno, Deputy Secretary-General, delivered remarks, while Luz María de la Mora, Director of the Division on International Trade and Commodities, and Nan Li Collins, Director of the Division on Investment and Enterprise, moderated the discussions. The event focused on new COP30 developments on trade and climate dialogues, scaling adaptation finance, and advancing a Just Transition Mechanism. It also highlighted UNCTAD’s mandate under the Geneva Consensus (UNCTAD 16) to support developing countries in aligning trade, investment and climate policies, mobilizing climate finance, and strengthening resilient and sustainable development pathways.
