Rebeca Grynspan joins global women leaders at Africa-Europe Foundation meeting ahead of 7th AU-EU Summit

21 September 2025 — Rebeca Grynspan, Secretary-General of UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD), at the Women’s Leaders Network breakfast meeting in New York. The event was opened by Africa-Europe Foundation Co-Presidents Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and Mary Robinson, with perspectives shared by women leaders including UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed, IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, WTO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, and AU Special Envoy Bineta Diop. The opening panel focused on the upcoming 7th AU-EU Summit, a key milestone for the Africa-Europe Women Leaders Network, addressing cooperation on peace and security, economic integration, trade, multilateralism, green development, digitalisation, migration, mobility, and human development.
