UNCTAD organized a study tour to Nagpur, India, from 14 to 18 January 2019, as part of its "Promoting cotton by-products in Eastern and Southern Africa” project. The study tour allowed 30 project participants from Africa to learn from the successful Indian experience using cotton by-products to create businesses and jobs and reduce pollution.
