Rebeca Grynspan presents UNCTAD16 — Shaping the Future in Geneva
13 October 2025 — Rebeca Grynspan, Secretary-General of UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD), at a hybrid press conference in Geneva ahead of UNCTAD16, the 16th United Nations Conference on Trade and Development. Held every four years, the Conference is UNCTAD’s most important intergovernmental meeting. This year’s theme — “Shaping the Future: Driving Economic Transformation for Equitable, Inclusive and Sustainable Development” — will guide discussions from 20 to 23 October 2025 at the Palais des Nations. Hosted by Switzerland and UNCTAD, the Conference will bring together Heads of State and Government, Ministers of Trade and Economy, Nobel Laureates, leaders of international organizations, representatives of civil society, and renowned experts to engage in high-level dialogue on global trends and policy perspectives on trade, investment, development, and the digital economy.
