Investment, Enterprise and Development Commission, 16th session
How can developing countries build investment strategies that hold up when the global economy keeps shifting? That question opens this week's Commission in Geneva, where member States and investment experts meet to discuss what is changing in investment and enterprise, and what it means for sustainable development.
A high-level panel looks at how countries can measure and manage the way global investment is being reshaped, and how industrial policy and closer regional ties can help. Bangladesh and Tunisia share how they are adapting their own investment strategies, and how the investment policy reviews of UN Trade and Development support that work.
The Commission also hears the latest on trends in investment, enterprise, science and technology, and prepares its conclusions for the Trade and Development Board.
