On 19 February 2020, UNCTAD held a retreat for ambassadors from the least developed countries group. The objectives of the retreat were as follows: - To assess the progress achieved by the LDCs in the implementation of the Istanbul Programme of Action (2011–2020) in key areas within the mandate of UNCTAD - To share findings of UNCTAD’s work on LDCs of relevance to the LDC V process - To present UNCTAD’s Productive Capacities Index, as it applies to LDCs - To identify issues and priorities for action by LDCs, in view of the preparation for LDC V and of the negotiation of the plan of action (PoA) for the coming decade.
