Stocktaking on the Rapid Etrade Readiness Assessments (3 April 2019)

Workshop: lessons learned and best practices for the conduct and implementation of the rapid eTrade Readiness Assessments The workshop presented the results of a stock-taking survey carried out online in February-March 2019 targeting the Government officials designated as focal points for the assessments. Its main objectives were to: 1. Evaluate the status of the implementation of the Rapid eTrade Readiness Assessments in beneficiary countries, from the public launch to the implementation of some recommendations. 2. Identify areas for improvement at different steps of the project: questionnaires/consultations and stakeholder mobilization; 3. Learn from the experience to date on these assessments - obstacles and good practices- and what governments’ intentions and difficulties are in relation to the preparation and the implementation of the policy recommendations contained in the Assessments. 4. Discuss with eTrade for all Partners and donors the elements of a strategy for an effective implementation of the eT Readies recommendations.
