Africa eWeek: Business and Civil Society Forum Opening
Africa eCommerce Week was organized from 10 to 14 December by UNCTAD, the African Union, the European Union and eTrade for All partners.
Held at the United Nations Office at Nairobi and hosted by the Kenyan government, the conference examined ways to enhance the ability of African countries to engage in and benefit from e-commerce and the evolving digital economy.
This opening of the Business and Civil Society Forum marked the first event of Africa eCommerce Week. It recognized the need for an even more inclusive dialogue between private and public sectors, as well as with the civil society and academia, and all those involved at the policy level on e-commerce issues, to shape the future we want in the digital era.
