Investment for development: Investing in the sustainable development goals
The sustainable development goals currently being formulated by the United Nations and a wide range of stakeholders will require a step change in both private and public investment. Public sector contributions will remain indispensable, but the scale of investment needed to meet demands across all sectors related to the sustainable development goals means that mobilizing private sector contributions will be critical to the realization of those goals. Nevertheless, in creasing private sector contributions poses challenges and policy dilemmas which must be addressed.
