On 8 July 2026 in Geneva, UN Trade and Development Acting Secretary-General Pedro Manuel Moreno delivered opening remarks at the high-level dialogue marking the 10th anniversary of the eTrade for all initiative, held under the theme “A Decade of Partnership and Connecting the Dots for an Inclusive Digital Economy.” Launched in 2016 at UNCTAD’s 14th Ministerial Conference in Nairobi, the UNCTAD-led partnership has grown from 15 to 35 partner organizations, supporting developing countries, especially least developed countries, in benefiting from e-commerce and the digital economy. The event reflected on a decade of collaboration, including the eTrade Readiness Assessments and the eTrade for Women initiative, and looked ahead to strengthening partnerships for a more inclusive digital economy.
